The team is back from the 2002 COG Rally with a bit more work then they would like. The roads were great and the competitive field was small. McGuire and Joubert were quickly into some trouble on stage two when the car went over an embankment into the brush, blowing out the right rear tire. Back on the road they finished up stage two changed tires and were ready for stage three.
About a mile in to stage three, coming into a long medium left the team slid into a ditch hard enough to blow our the right front tire, which ended the day early for them. Some days are just better than others.
The team will be repairing the car and looking for sponsors over the next couple of months to help them get to the Paris by Night Rally in December. Shirts are now available on the web site and also look for other ways to help sponsor Big Red Racing coming soon.
