Smooth Weekend at Temple Canon

May 14, 2007 09:59AM - Smooth Weekend at Temple Canon

First race of the season and its been good. Kurt Terry had obligations to his work that wouldn't allow him to co-drive. Considering the way we ended the only race last year he was certainly bummed.

Friday we started slow and kept dropping time on every run. With a new co-driver, whose also new to co-driving itself, we expected nothing more than to finish the weekend. That we did, also cutting our time down, nearly 30 seconds from our first run on Saturday. Josh found his rhythm in the Paces notes and we posted a 4:01.64 for the final run, just 2 seconds off the mean time for N/A 2wd cars.

For only being the second competition in the 325 I am pleased with its ability in stock form. This weekend confirmed that the primary changes necessary for the car; suspension and an LSD. Our LSD will come from Kaaz and the suspension from DMS North America and Checkpoint Racing. We'll post updates as they become available.

The next race will be in late June/early July in Victor, CO.
